2016/17 Environmental Trends

2016-17 CSL Environmental Trends including: energy consumption intensity; greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions intensity; water consumption intensity; and waste generation intensity decreased on the previous year, largely due to an increase in production and overall company performance.


Energy and Greenhouse Gas Trends

Overall increase of energy consumption is driven by the increasing production output however the intensity fall is largely due to overall company performance and the implementation of energy efficiency projects.

Water and Waster Trends

Overall increase in water is driven by an increase in production output; however the intensity fall is largely due to overall company performance and the implementation of water efficiency projects. For waste, significant drop across both indicators is due to sharp decrease of construction waste reported from the Seqirus, Liverpool, UK, facility compared to the previous year. Furthermore, the increase in 2015/16 is also due to a rise in construction waste at Liverpool.
